Greg Guedel majored in painting at the Art Institute of Chicago, and later ventured into woodcarving after receiving a surprise gift of knives and chisels in 1993. He combines his love of painting and wood carving to create these characters: sure to delight both child and collector alike. Below you will find Greg Guedel's folk art collection of whimsical pieces that Greg sculpts from wood. The original designs are one of a kind and available on our site only. The longer it takes Greg to finish a piece, the more he likes it, feeling like it has become a tried and true friend with the time spent together during the creation and painting process. However, Greg also has a line of reproduction items now available from Bethany Lowe Designs. All of the Easter, Halloween and Christmas figures and ornaments are recreated from Greg's original designs.
