Nicol Sayre’s designs are reminiscent of a gentler time, a Victorian era when things were calm and serene, and there was a passion for handmade creations. Nicol has an affinity for dolls, lace, toys, mannequins, busts… all those things you see in an antique shop that are slightly flawed, possibly stained from use, but that isn’t what Nicol sees! She sees opportunity to use things she collects to embellish her sculpted pieces with vintage elements that make her collectors feel like each piece was created just for them! We are lucky to have some of Nicol’s reproductions from ESC Trading Company for Halloween, Christmas and Easter. As a child, Nicol Sayre created her first doll after learning to sew. Today, Nicol translates her love of the Victorian era into her original paper mache and fabric dolls, drawing out a unique personality by hand-painting features on each of her vintage-style designs.
